Welcome to the CVM boiler room, the most important page on the CVM website.

Back in the 19th century, story has it that Charles Spurgeon, a Christian preacher who had led thousands of people to faith, was asked about the secret to his ministry. In response, he led a group of young ministers into the basement, and they were shown a group of around 100 people praying.

'This is my boiler room,’ said Spurgeon to the group,
‘my people pray for me’.

Spurgeon isn’t the only preacher or speaker to point to the powerhouse and lifeline of prayer. David Wilkerson, the founder of Teen Challenge, author of ‘The Cross and the Switchblade’, and the pastor who led Nicky Cruz to faith, once said about ministries:

‘these things are born in prayer and move in prayer.’
