THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE CARRYING A CROSS
Fancy joining CVM’s Jon Stockley as he scales GB’s 3 highest peaks carrying a cross?

You may have heard of the ‘3 Peaks Challenge’. Traditionally that’s climbing the tallest mountain in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. You may have even taken part in this challenge.
However Jon Stockley, CVM’s National Director, Wales is setting himself a target of completing it in 3 days! Is he that unfit that it will take much longer than most? Does his sense of direction go awry at medium altitudes? Is his love for his sofa too strong that it’s near impossible for him to part from it for more than half a day?


Well ... Yes, to all of the above!


However Jon is attempting to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon (or Yr Wyddfa as Jon calls it) with an added dimension to the challenge. He’s requiring the extra days because he’s traversing the three peaks ... carrying a large cross!


Starting on Friday 2 June and finishing (he hopes) on Sunday 4 June, Jon will take on this update of a classic challenge to raise money for CVM and he invites you to support his efforts by sponsoring him a few quid. Also if you live somewhere near Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike or Mount Snowdon, and would like to join Jon on one of the climbs, he would welcome your support. You will be able to look over the surrounding countryside from the peak and pray with Jon, and the others, for the men of that land who need to be introduced to Jesus.
