EDINBURGH MEN’S DAY LINE-UP
There’s a fun fast paced event, featuring mini 'TED’ style talks taking place in Scotland on the 4th March.
Quickfire ‘17: Scotland is a perfect day for men, men’s groups and church leaders.
Talks will be delivered by some excellent speakers fitting their best thinking into a strict 15 minutes which will be enforced by klaxon (and NERF gun if need be).
As well as that, there is a hog roast for lunch!!

Stephen McGuire, CVM National Director – Scotland

As the Director for Scotland his passion is to see the great nation of Scotland transformed, as he has been, with the amazing Gospel of Jesus.
Ian Black, Director of Scottish Christian Broadcast

Ian is passionate about media, marketing and communicating good news. With 15 years of successes in this field primarily as Director of Scottish Christian Broadcast he has recently established his own media company.
Paul & Nicola Reed, addiction support & ‘Alternatives’ trustee
- ‘Internet Pornography. What’s the harm?’
Paul and Nicola have been married for over 20 years.
Together they have worked to help men deal with living a life of purity in today's society, with a unique perspective from a wife's point of view.
Justyn Rees Larcombe, author, speaker & former gambling addict
- ‘Internet Gambling. A few quid won’t matter’
After a highly successful army career and well-paid job in the City Justyn Rees Larcombe lost his job, family and everything he owned. His downfall started with a £5 bet. Through his faith and support of his mother, he turned his life around.
He now educates about the dangers of gambling and helps others coping with gambling addiction.
Neil MacLennan, Sanctus Media - Director

Neil is the Director of Sanctus Media. Sanctus Media is a non-profit company serving the church and charity sectors in the UK. It exists to serve and resource the local, national and international church in providing specialist video and internet services.
Steven Turnbull - Psychologist, author and speaker
- ‘Men and Their Sheds. Do we all need a cave to retreat into?’
Steven is a psychologist who has a strong track record working with elite sports professionals, business leaders, companies and individuals to help them fulfill their full God-given potential. He is also the author of books on motivation and confidence.
Richard Johnston - Christian Mindfulness, Director
- ‘Battle For The Mind’
Richard’s passion is to help people connect with God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) through contemplative and meditative practices. Richard runs workshops across the UK and offer online courses which are currently being used worldwide.
Bill Sharp - Business Consultant & Vocational Sports Chaplain
- ‘Sports Chaplaincy Evangelism’
Bill provides pastoral care to East Stirlingshire FC (he’s also on the board of directors) and his local community. He is a member of the leadership team at Falkirk Vineyard Church and used to play scrum-half for Falkirk Rugby Club for many seasons.
