JUST LAUNCHED - WINNING MEN THROUGH RUGBY
Here’s a great long-term plan to use the game of rugby to bring fellow fans to faith in Jesus.
With the six nations soon to be on our screens once more and the Super League kicking off too, we have the exciting opportunity to introduce to you a new initiative looking to combine faith in Jesus and being a rugby supporter.
Rawfaith is an initiative backed by CVM that is all about encouraging opportunities for Christian sports supporters to share with our not-yet believing fellow fans, not only the highs and lows of the season, but also our faith in Jesus.
Rawfaith have been committed to setting up Christian supporters groups for every football club around the UK no matter what tier or standard of football they play...
...and now they are now expanding into expanding into Rugby!
By linking together Christian rugby supporters from all over the UK; we aim to have a Christian presence at the heart of every club’s fan base with the specific goal of reaching out to not-yet believing fans.
If you’re a rugby fan of any form, whether a hardened season ticket holder or an armchair supporter of the internationals; Rawfaith: Rugby will support you in your personal walk with Jesus while enabling you to impact the lives of other fans by sharing your faith through a rugby context.
If you follow a rugby team, even if it’s just internationals, make sure you join your team’s Christian supporters group.
When you join you will:
- Be linked in with your club’s coordinator and other Christian fans.
- Receive our rugby and faith articles that combine rugby hot topics and faith in Jesus.
- Receive Rawfaith e-communications to keep you informed of any events/news regarding your favourite club/national team.
These Rawfaith groups will act as an outreach mechanism for rugby fans; helping you to share the good news of Jesus Christ with your friends. Getting involved with Rawfaith and being part of your team's group is one of the best ways to enhance both your match day and all round supporter experience, as well as providing the basis for evangelism to your rugby friends.
Become a Club Co-ordinator...
As we develop, we are also recruiting Club Co-ordinators for each club who will act as a point of contact between Rawfaith and their club’s Christian fans, responsible for organising outreach events; socials; club specific prayer and general team related discussion in their respective Facebook groups.
