What was that password?

This is aimed mainly at the age group 50 plus. (It’s okay if your younger you can still join in). Before you go any further however you might want to grab a pencil and paper.

Think back to when you were a youngster (harder for some I know).

  1. What was the number or name of the house you first lived in, or that you can first remember? For me it was No1.
  2. List the number of electrical items you had in your that first house; Radio, lamps, fridge, television

I could ask you how many different sweets that you can remember from that time but I’m still trying to finish my ‘gob-stopper’.

If I was to ask you the same questions for the house you currently live in, how different would your answer be? Take a moment and think about it whilst I try the gob-stopper again! Don’t worry I’m with you on this one, after 16 electrical items, (of which, for some reason there are more than one), I decided to give up and keep sucking…

How many numbers do you have to remember today? Phone numbers, bank card, passwords…

Now what was that password?

Please retype the last password you can remember using and we shall send you a link to the email provided as back up. Arghh!

Having more than one email account doubles, triples the complexity and taxes the brain without the pleasure that sucking a very old gob-stopper brings.

Having been cyber-hacked recently it presented me with one of life’s major challenges. First question; who has a record of personal details relevant to online shopping (it’s a great sweetie shop that I know)? Bank cards, store cards loyalty cards, Christmas cards – no that’s not right, scrub that one. This seemed an endless process and one that has caused me to be ultra-cautious and I don’t like this feeling.

Something untrustworthy has crept into the system.

Back in the day, money (remember money? Half-crowns, florins, threepenny bits, sixpence, two-bob, a penny, the good old shilling: twelve pennies make a shilling and ten shillings makes ten-bob, what could you buy for £2 17s 4d? – ahh those were the days) .. now where was I, back to today, something makes me cautious about living within cyber society, the cyber boundaries keep changing.

So I think it’s time to come up with a new password, something unbreakable, however which can be accessed without concern by everybody; and contrary to the best security and protection bought on line or through a local retailer it’s free! Yes it’s free!

I ought to confess it’s not my password I lifted it from another source, and it’s not so new either, credit where credit is due. So the new password will provide a link that you should make best use of, the link is also free and once inside, wow what a treasure store of goodies, no gob-stoppers, but non-the-less go for it!

Ready?

‘Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name.’

You’re in. Instant access, no hackers, no hindrance, no problems, and no warnings!

For a more descriptive detail of the agreement:

Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts
As we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.

It’s amazing how the old things are still relevant today.
