Meet the Team
Simon Pinchbeck: Regional Director, England (East)
Simon was a 'Copper' who had a career change & became a Criminal, then had a life change & became a Christian.
After 23yrs in the Met Police, Simon left after receiving a 'not guilty' verdict on an assault charge. He then became obsessed with money & material things and was tempted into a life of crime by guys he had met in the local gym. However after being 'ripped of'` by his associates for a large amount of money, he was left the lowest he had ever been in his life - facing prison or death - but God threw him a lifeline in the shape of another very violent criminal, who had turned his life around through his faith in Jesus Christ.
As a result of seeing the difference faith had made to this guy, Simon invited Jesus into his own life, and began a personal relationship with Him, made real through the Christian Course called Alpha.
That was in 2002, and since then Simon has had great ten years with the ministry of Tough Talk - speaking in outreaches, churches, schools & prisons. He now feels privileged & excited to be invited onto the Team at CVM.
Simon has been married to Lynda for over 30yrs, he has two sons, Tom & Jamie & a granddaughter Scarlett born November 2014.
Simon follows The Arsenal & he also has a love of telling bad jokes which he 'tries out' on the men who attend the monthly breakfasts he helps run, from God Central & Harlow Baptist Church in Essex.
"Evangelism is in my DNA - put me anywhere & I will tell anyone what Jesus has done in my life - but I also have a real passion for building men up & releasing them to be the men God made them to be. That is why CVM is so important in this country - building strong Christian men in friendships, in the workplace, in family & in church. One man can make a difference - but with CVM together we can make an impact." Simon Pinchbeck
